This Conway Stewart No.58 vintage pen was made in England in the early 1950’s and is in the classic finish of jet black with rolled gold trim - a popular combination to this day. It has two thin and one thick cap bands and the original Conway clip and lever. The barrel states “Conway Stewart 58” “Made in England”. The original large Conway Stewart Duro 14ct gold nib, marked as 58, has a fine point. The condition of the pen is fair to good as stated in the main listing with more than the usual surface wear and brassing of the trim due to age, but this is reflected in the price. This Conway Stewart No. 286 was made in England around 1939. The finish is an attractive mix of pale and dark green marble with rolled gold trim. It has the original Conway clip to the cap with one thin cap band. The body has the original Conway lever and the inscription “The Conway Stewart No.286 - Made in England”. The nib text states “Conway Stewart 14ct gold 5” and has a medium point. The 286 is a healthy size Conway measuring 13cm with cap on and 16.2cm with cap on barrel end. Condition overall is good with only minor age wear to cap and barrel and some brassing to the trim as is evident in the photograph – this is reflected in the price. A good everyday writer. This Conway Stewart No. 388 was made in England around 1939. The finish is a mix of pale and dark green marble with rolled gold trim. The nib is a Conway 14ct medium point. This Conway Stewart No.75 vintage fountain pen was made in London, England around 1952. Advertised at the time as “All British Fountain Pens” Conway Stewarts were available in a variety of colours and nib points. This particular example with its green marble finish, one cap band and original Conway lever and Conway metal clip, is in good condition overall but with some age wear to body and trim. It has a pleasing to use medium to slightly broad Conway Stewart original nib. The barrel imprint states “Conway Stewart 75 Made in England”. It measures 12.8cm with cap on and 15.5cm with cap on end of barrel. A good vintage fountain for everyday use. This attractive vintage fountain pen was manufactured by Conway Stewart in England in 1937. It is called “The Universal Pen - No.466” and is in a finish termed burgundy pearl and black. The cap has the Conway branded rolled gold clip with the then new diamond shaped end. The barrel imprint states “The Universal Pen – Conway Stewart London – No. 466” around the bottom of the barrel it states “Made in England” and it carries the Conway branded lever. Condition overall is good with very minor age wear to the body and cap but a fair amount of age wear to the rolled gold trim as can be seen in the photograph – however this is reflected in the price. The nib states “Conway Stewart 14ct Gold 1”. It has a medium point and is a pleasing writer. It is a fairly slim pen measuring 12cm with cap on and 15.1cm with cap on barrel end in length.
